I noticed there has been some talk around cannabis lately due to 'NORML' and the students issues going on.  I'm no smoker these days. But I was.  Personally I don't know what the big deal is? The whole law is such a double standard.

You can buy booze on every corner legally but you can't have a smoke! why? It's a load of bullshit. I'm no spring chicken and I don't think regular use (like any thing) is good for you. But for gods sake lets be honest about it. This whole issue has nothing to do with you or me its just about money, politics and power.

Legalise it (put rules in place) and kill the black market.

I am not so sure I support legalizing it, however I am very strongly in support of decriminalizing it. As 1 person said in the thread already, it would help eliminate the black market for it. I also believe if it was legal it would become a lot easier for people to seek help. Even better, potential profit that the government was to make as a result of taxing it could be used for help programmes.

diffenitly NO. .all thats dizzyness. and space out they do under it causes,. them to bring in on themselves others family trees. and stuff there minds can,t handle, then they extract others good health to keep going . BUT  when they get up around the 50ty mark all that dizzyness. and confusion they create comes back at them, and they iether end up into some ones esles good health or they end up with compliants in later years of ill health.and when they have in society extracted ever one elses good health. then their will be nothing left for the next generations only ill heath and the children will be all dieing at a young age. as the drug addicts have taken their futures and good health.ive seen it happen to the young ones, this ones in his forties, life of  p. and grass. was never a good father when they were young, but now hangs around them all the time extracting there youth, so he can feel young agains.and not feel sick by it hat sickness goes on the daughter. and other members of the family.what our fore father had to do in thier days of primitive thinking. isn,t good for one in this day and age. another one i know, whos on it. tell lies about his ex. on paper for what he is. so he can have custdy of his children.does those who think its cool. think this is being a responble father. or being an adult. so thier children have some thing to respect and look up to.these action are also killing of their parents befor their time, by downing their bad habits on the parents.

I'm not sure 1 if people really care any more about Marijuana being legal for it is known to non smokers and smokers as to where you can get it and seems to be accepted in all walks of life.

I undetstand how legalising it could effect the black market maybe that is the reason there is minimal action taken by authorities.  Surely we are not so blind to realise that gangs operate off there own back but you can be sure a corporate influence will be making the most of the whole process.

I always have a bloody good laugh when someone gets done for possesion and cultivation in the court pages and the judge says " blaa blaa how bad is is for the community and how it ruins people's lives" he may be right to a point.

BUT WHAT ABOUT ALCOHOL

That must be ok government gets good tax cause of that especially if you live in invercargill they have a maffia that control the sale of alcohol called the ILT.

They should legalize it,
Look at Holland for an example, you don't see much of their own in the coffee shops, just tourist and that's understanding.
We should have it in NZ, in a year or two to come, by then, marijuana would be nothing to new zealanders, it be just walking pass another cigarette store.

Cheers

I agree killing the black market would be good, but the government needs the gangs there as apart of psycological bullying.

Despite that, if you knew your rights you would know that sure weed is illegal but its not against the law of the land.

Common Law is our natural god given inalienable right.
